American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Getting around Lubbock is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Worst breakfast burrito I’ve ever had in my life. It’s really hard to mess up a breakfast burrito. I ordered a bacon potato and egg that was on their menu. To begin the price was much more expensive than what it stated on the menu board before pulling up to the window. And I paid in cash. The potato was mashed potatoes. Half of the burrito was mashed potatoes no structure or texture other than sloppy mashed potatoes. There was essentially no bacon. Maybe a couple pieces smaller than the size of my pinky nail. I thought it would get better the more I ate. It did not. The eggs toward the middle were crumbly dry eggs that you would scrape off the bottom of a pan and had a very strange taste and texture. I was starving and could not eat this. It was absolutely disgusting. Such a waste of money. Maybe burritos are not their thing but they should definitely take this off their menu if this is what they are serving. The only thing I liked was the salsa was absolutely amazing. Too bad I had to eat it by itself because the burrito is trash.

First time trying these donuts and it seems like these type of donuts are the type that Benjamin Franklin and the other Founding Fathers had before they finalized the Declaration of Independence πŸ˜‚ The texture was crisp and the donuts were not too sweet. The chocolate donut was definitely my favorite one. I’m glad I’m at work so I wouldn’t destroy this box by myself haha! They have a drive thru and great customer service. I can’t wait to try the cake donut next time! 😊 I also recommend bringing cash!

We made an effort to try all of the little donut stores around south Lubbock so we could make a good comparison. Benjamin Donuts came out on top. They have a thicker glaze on all their donuts. They are so generous with the add-on filling/toppings. Their cake donuts are (πŸ§‘β€πŸ³πŸ’‹chef's kiss). Although we only officially compared donuts, their Korean burritos were so delicious. And the croissants were perfectly made. No soggy bottoms, perfectly crisp bacon, generous size, perfection.
